GPayments’ ActiveAccess is a multi-factor authentication platform providing authentication services for banks, enterprises, government and third party application service providers.
The platform is a highly scalable bank-grade application which has already been deployed to support hundreds of institutions providing authentication services for millions of users in their day-to-day transactions.
ActiveAccess provides two major authentication services:
- Multi-factor authentication for the authentication of users’ accessing or transacting in a secure environment. Multi-factor authentication is any authentication protocol that requires multiple forms of authentication, typically using something a user knows, such as a password or PIN, and something a user has, such as a hardware token or credit card.
- 3-D Secure authentication for the authentication of cardholders during an online purchase. 3-D Secure is an eCommerce authentication service which adds a password to a users credit card for secure online shopping. It is supported by Visa, MasterCard and JCB and is commonly called Verified by Visa, MasterCard SecureCode and JCB J/Secure respectively.
