ActiveAccess is a robust market leading Access Control Server (ACS) platform, developed by GPayments to enable cardholder authentication for card issuers. It can be deployed directly within a bank, a central bank, or processing center for utilisation by multiple issuers. It can be hosted on-premise or in a cloud environment.
ActiveAccess was built with compatibility and efficiency in mind resulting in a solution that supports 3D Secure 1 (3DS1), 3D Secure 2 (3DS2), while helping issuers meet the EU Payment Service Directive (PSD2) compliance. It reduces false declines and cart abandonment, and improves user experience by providing a new frictionless flow during the payment process.
ActiveAccess is certified with 3DS 1.0.2 and EMV 3DS, and supports Verified by Visa/Visa Secure, Mastercard Identity Check, American Express SafeKey, JCB J/Secure, and Discover ProtectBuy.
ActiveAccess was developed with security and compliance at its core, ensuring that its users comply to payment industry security and compliance standards.

Improved purchasing experience for mobile shopping app users via native mobile support. Implementing our 3DS2 solution will help reduce your cart abandonment rate by up to 25%.
The ActiveAccess adapter-based API for communicating with third party authentication services enables authentication to occur outside the standard 3D Secure flow, allowing the cardholder up to 7 days to perform the authentication offline, without interacting with the online merchant.
Requestor Initiated Payments (3RI), also known as Merchant Initiated authentications, can be used for recurring or subscription payments. Paired with decoupled authentication, they allow merchants to execute online transactions, even if the cardholder is not immediately available for authentication.
Allows cardholders to whitelist trusted merchants for bypassing authentication. Using the ActiveAccess Whitelisting API, issuers can manage cardholders’ lists of trusted merchants, and enable cardholders to add/remove merchants from their whitelists. Issuers can view or remove trusted merchants via the administration console.
ActiveAccess supports Dynamic Linking, which is required for SCA by PSD2. A unique authentication code is used for each transaction, and the payer is kept informed of the specific payment amount and the specific payee, throughout the authentication process.
UPC realised to fight the battle against online fraud, additional authentication was required to verify cardholders’ identities in CNP e-Commerce transactions and additional authentication was required for internet banking to reduce the threat posed to online security by the increasing number of phishing attacks.
